If you’re a tax professional, we need you to help our customers complete their taxes. You’ll advance our goal of changing lives through our commitment to excellence by providing expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to our customers and preparing their taxes.
This position will focus on business tax returns, individual tax returns, audits for small to medium-sized clients, and non-profit groups. We are hiring a Tax Preparer for a permanent employment opportunity!
Responsibilities:
- Preparing complete workpapers in conformity with standards for audits, reviews, and compilations, including those for non-profit entities and other industries as necessary.
- Draft financial statements and other engagement documentation.
- Prepare tax returns, including individual, C-Corp, S-Corp, partnerships, estates, 990s, and others as may be requested.
- Communicating with clients in person, by telephone and email to obtain information and relevant documentation to support workpaper conclusions and tax returns.
- Gathering/organizing and accurately entering customer data in the federal and state tax returns for review.
- Coordinate customer meetings and follow-up, as necessary.
- Apply defined practices, procedures and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve product and tax support customer inquiries.
- Will interact with customers utilizing strong written and verbal skills as well as deep customer empathy.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of tax prep or accounting experience
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills (written & spoken) a MUST.
